We were married in 1978 and have three adult children. Our hearts have always been drawn to the needy and one key way we experience His joy is by helping and serving others. In 1995, we followed the Lord’s leading and moved to Colima, Mexico, where we served as house parents in a children’s home ministry. It was there we were first introduced to the RTF ministry. In April 2018, after almost 23 years, we felt the Lord leading us back to Canada. It is such a joy to be able to be close to family once again particularly since we now have our first grandchild. We count it such a privilege to have been able to be part of two cultures and while we are now back in Canada, we maintain close ties to our Mexican friends and coworkers.

Nos casamos en 1978 y tenemos tres hijos adultos. Nuestros corazones siempre se han sentido atraídos por los necesitados y una forma clave de experimentar el gozo de Dios es ayudando y sirviendo a los demás. En 1995, seguimos la voluntad de nuestro Señor y nos mudamos a Colima, México, donde servimos como padres de familia en una casa hogar. Fue allí donde nos presentaron por primera vez el ministerio de RLF. En abril de 2018, después de casi 23 años, sentimos que el Señor nos guiaba de regreso a Canadá. Es una gran alegría poder estar cerca de la familia una vez más, especialmente porque ahora tenemos dos nietas. Consideramos un gran privilegio haber podido ser parte de dos culturas, y ayunque estamos lejos ahora, sigamos en contacto con nuestros amigos mexicanos.
Our Connection to Restoring The Foundations
When we experienced our first Issue Focused Restoring the Foundations ministry, we saw it as a valuable tool to bring healing and hope. This seminar launched us into the training process to the point where we are now able to train and raise up new Thorough Format Restoring the Foundations ministers. What joy and satisfaction we feel as we watch and also co-labor with the Lord as He brings real and lasting freedom into the lives of those who are hurting. We became Healing House ministers in 2012 and Trainers in 2015.

Cuando experimentamos nuestro primer ministerio Restaurando los Fundamentos Enfoque en un Solo Asunto, lo vimos como una herramienta valiosa para traer sanación y esperanza. Este seminario nos lanzó al proceso de capacitación hasta el punto en que ahora podemos capacitar y levantar nuevos ministros de Formato Profundo Restaurando las Fundaciones. Qué gozo y satisfacción sentimos al observar y colaborar con el Señor mientras Él trae libertad real y duradera a las vidas de aquellos que están sufriendo. Nos convertimos en ministros de Healing House Network en 2012 y entrenadores en 2015.
Having been involved with a children’s home ministry in Mexico for so many years, we have seen the effects of abandonment and abuse in people’s lives. We used the trust we had built over the years and the Restoring the Foundations training we had received to facilitate the Lord reaching in and healing the deep parts of both the children’s and caregivers’ hearts. Now that we are back in Canada, we are able to use this experience to minister to the many needs back here. We are bilingual and are able to offer ministry in both English and Spanish.

Después de haber estado involucrados con el ministerio de la Casa Hogar en México durante tantos años, hemos visto los efectos del abandono y el abuso en la vida de las personas. Usamos la confianza que habíamos construido a lo largo de los años y la capacitación en Restaurando Los Fundamentos que habíamos recibido para facilitar que el Señor alcanzara y sanara las partes profundas del corazón de los niños y los cuidadores. Ahora que estamos de regreso en Canadá, podemos usar esta experiencia para atender las necesidades aquí. Somos bilingües y podemos ofrecer ministerio tanto en inglés como en español.
Las recientes restricciones del Covid-19 han abierto la posibilidad de hacer ministerio por Zoom. Esta herramienta nos ha parecido muy valiosa en nuestra capacidad de hacer ministerio con nuestros receptores españoles, ya que la geografía ya no es una barrera. Estaremos encantados y honrados de ofrecerles este valioso ministerio en español.
